Hi, I’m Isabelle Verona! Watercolor Artist, Painting Instructor, Art Teacher, Entrepreneur and Mom!

I’m a Brazilian who moved to the US in 2012 to follow my husband, who at that time was in grad school. I graduated in Product Design in 2011 in Brazil, but I always loved arts. I started painting when I was 12, when I joined my mom to take painting classes. I was the only child in that class and one of the few who wanted to learn watercolor besides oil painting. After moving to the US I had a student’s wife visa that didn’t allow me to work. So I did volunteer work, learned English, did an internship in Graphic Design and opened a YouTube channel. I started dedicating all my time to YouTube in 2015, because I couldn’t earn money yet, I did my best to grow my audience and to improve my art skills. By 2018 I reached more than 400k subscribers. In 2018, I also got my green card and pregnant. Having a baby without any support system from my family, which lives in Brazil, made me realize that I couldn’t keep uploading as many videos as before. So I decided to focus on what I could do with my little free time, instead of just being sad about what I couldn’t do. So I focused on improving one skill at a time. First I chose watercolor! When my son was napping I practiced watercolor. In 2021, after the worse part of the pandemic, I decided that I was ready to share my knowledge about watercolor and I scheduled my first painting party with friends in a park. We all wore masks and were really happy to chat and see each other in person, but what stood out the most were the beautiful paintings everybody did that day following my instructions, even without previous experience.

Now I’m passionate about sharing my love of art and showing that everybody can make beautiful paintings!
